Ghana: Civil society groups to picket at Auditor General office in Accra Sept. 5

The Coalition for Democratic Accountability and Inclusive Governance has called on various civil society groups to protest in Accra Sept. 5 to denounce alleged bad governance by public servants. Participants will gather at the Children’s Park before marching towards and protesting at the Auditor General's office through 15:00.

Heightened security and localized traffic disruptions are likely around the protest sites. Given the anti-government nature of the protest, clashes between demonstrators and security forces are possible.

Advice

Avoid all protests to mitigate related disruptions. Heed the advice of security personnel and leave the area immediately at the first sign of any confrontation.
