Singapore implementing eased COVID-19 measures as of Sept. 16.

Informational

Event

Singapore authorities continue to implement reduced COVID-19 measures as of Sept. 16.

Domestic Measures
Facemasks remain compulsory on public transport and in most healthcare facilities. Contact tracing requirements remain in effect for events with more than 500 people. Authorities continue to bar unvaccinated people from dine-in services.

Officials require people who test positive for COVID-19 to quarantine at their residence for at least three days. Fully vaccinated people must quarantine until testing negative using a self-administered rapid antigen test (RAT) or until 12:00 on the seventh day. Partial or unvaccinated individuals must quarantine until receiving a negative RAT result or until noon of day 14. Close contacts of a COVID-19 patient must take a self-administered RAT daily for at least five days from notification of their exposure to leave their residence.

International Travel Restrictions
The government permits entry for all travelers. Inbound passengers aged 13 and above who are not fully vaccinated can only enter for short-term visits. These travelers must provide evidence of a negative PCR test or professionally administered RAT result obtained within 48 hours before departure and hold travel insurance worth at least SGD 30,000 covering COVID-19 treatment. Fully vaccinated travelers must provide evidence to avoid pre-departure testing.

Advice

Consider postponing travel if affected by travel restrictions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm all travel arrangements. Consider delaying traveling if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny and delays. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or extensions of current restrictions.
