A group of truck drivers are planning a blockade on the CR-9 highway near Rio Hondo, Zacapa Municipality, from 04:00 Oct. 19 to protest high fuel prices. This follows a similar blockade that took place in the area on Oct. 18. Drivers have used their trucks to block the highway, letting through smaller vehicles, but refusing road access to other trucks. The previous blockade caused extensive traffic disruptions.
