Disruptions to airport operations possible in Hawaii, US, through Jan. 31 due to military exercise. Confirm status of flights.
Officials from The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) advised travelers that disruptions to air travel are possible through the end of Jan. 31 due to military exercises. Ground stops and flight delays could impact Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole (KOA), Kahului Airport (OGG), and possibly also Lῑhu'e Airport (LIH). The HDOT has advised travelers to confirm information for their flights with their respective airlines through the end of January.
Air travel disruptions may occur. If the Federal Aviation Administration implements ground stops, lingering disruptions and passenger processing delays will likely occur even after flights are allowed to resume.
Confirm flight schedules. Do not check out of accommodations until verifying onward travel.
