Police are continuing their response to a knife attack at Marktplatz in central Mannheim on May 31. Police shot the suspect after he attacked several individuals at a small rally in Marktplatz; the exact number of casualties remains unclear. Although the motivation for the attack remains unclear, the rally had been organized by the Citizens' Movement Pax Europa group. Police are yet to release further details.
