Informational

A drone reportedly targeted the Al-Tanf military base in Syria's Homs Governorate as of late June 22. The base belongs to the US and its coalition partners. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant material damage. While no group has as yet claimed the attack, the incident comes a day after Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS), an Iraqi Shi'a militia group, blamed the US for a June 21 strike on a vehicle near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Heightened security and disruptions to transport and business are likely near the base over the coming hours.

Heed the instructions of security forces. If an attack alert is issued in the general vicinity, stay indoors and away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to a ground floor, basement, or bunker. Maintain contact with your country's diplomatic mission.
