Bolivia: Protesters suspend nationwide campaign of road blocks as of Nov. 14 /update 4
Supporters of former President Morales cease nationwide roadblock protesters in Bolivia as of Nov. 14.
As of Nov. 14, activists and supporters of Bolivia's former President Evo Morales have ceased their nationwide campaign of road block protests. The purpose of the demonstrations, which began on Oct. 14, was to denounce incumbent President Luis Arce; the gatherings were also part of a long-standing conflict between the former president and current President Arce over the leadership of the Movement for Socialism (Movimiento al Socialismo, MAS) party.
Sporadic traffic disruptions remain possible in some parts of the country until any residual road blocks are dismantled.
