Police have confirmed at least one injury following reports of a shooting at Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, Connecticut, the evening of Aug. 11. Authorities believe the shooting was due to a an altercation between two groups, and that the victim appears to be a bystander. The suspects reportedly fled the scene; police do not have anyone in custody. Officers have lifted the lockdown and are allowing guests to leave the mall as investigations continue.

Heightened security, as well as localized business and transport disruptions, are likely in the coming hours.
