Event

Authorities in Kansas have updated the state's COVID-19-related travel restrictions as of Aug. 3. Under the current directives, unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals who have traveled to certain international locations within specific time frames must self-quarantine for 10 days upon arrival in Kansas; alternatively, such travelers may take a COVID-19 test after six days in the state and exit quarantine after seven full days (i.e., on the eighth day after arrival) if the result is negative. These directives do not apply to fully vaccinated individuals who have remained asymptomatic since travel.

The particular locations and time frames in question are as follows:

  • Botswana, Cuba, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, or Martinique, on or after July 29.

  • British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Fiji, Jersey, or the UK, on or after July 15.

  • Tunisia between July 15-29.

  • Namibia between July 1-29.

  • Kuwait or Mongolia between June 17-July 29.

  • Colombia between June 3-July 29.

  • Seychelles between May 6-July 29.

  • Argentina between April 22-July 29.

Travelers who have attended out-of-state gatherings of 500 people or more where individuals do not socially distance and wear a mask, as well as those who have been on a maritime or river cruise vessel, must also self-quarantine upon arrival.

State and county-level business and gathering restrictions have been lifted. However, authorities could reimpose or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Advice

Heed the directives of local authorities. Reconfirm all health-related travel requirements before travel. Confirm appointments in advance.
