The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas, U.S. through at least 04:00 CDT Oct. 11. Damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, heavy rain, and flash flooding are possible in the region, regardless of whether tornadoes reach the ground. Authorities could extend or expand the weather warnings at short notice.

Localized transport and utility disruptions are possible in areas under the tornado watch; strong straight-line winds may pose a hazard to high-profile vehicles. Driving conditions may be difficult on rural routes and regional highways.
