A magnitude-5.0 offshore earthquake occurred in the Philippine Sea southeast of Davao Region at around 13:18 July 20. The epicenter was about 97 km (60 miles) southeast of Pondaguitan, Davao Oriental Province. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 124 km (77 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout most of Davao and southeastern Soccsksargen regions.
