Activists plan to rally in multiple locations Sept. 22 and 24 in support of ongoing anti-government protesters in Iran. Some confirmed locations include:

  • Paris: From 17:00-19:30 Sept. 24 at Place du Chatelet and from 19:00 at the nearby Chatelet-Les Halles.

  • Bordeaux: From 14:00 Sept. 24 at Place de la Comedie.

  • Marseilles: From 14:00 Sept. 24 at Place de Canebiere.

  • Reims: From 19:00 Sept. 22 at Place Drouet-d'Erlon.

  • Strasbourg: From 15:00 Sept. 24 at Place Gutenberg.

The unrest in Iran was sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody in Tehran, Sept. 16.

Dozens to a few hundred people may participate in these events. Additional rallies are likely across France in the coming days, particularly through the coming weekend ending Sept. 25. These could occur near prominent public squares or Iranian diplomatic offices. Police will likely deploy to monitor and manage related gatherings. Violence is unlikely. Some minor road travel delays may occur near protest sites.
