France: Cabin crew strike disrupts Air France flights Dec. 22

Unionized Air France cabin crew observing strike action in France Dec. 22-Jan. 2. Reconfirm flights.

Warning

Event

Air France (AF) cabin crews affiliated with the UNAC and SNGAF labor unions are observing strike action Dec. 22. The strike is scheduled to continue through Jan. 2, and has been organized over a dispute related to collective bargaining agreements.

Despite assurances from Air France officials that the strike would have a limited impact on flight schedules, some notable disruptions have been reported Dec. 22, including between Paris and Toulouse. Unless averted, the strike will likely continue to impact Air France flight operations through Jan. 2. Disruptions could extend for several hours after the end of the strike as Air France repositions aircraft and works through its passenger backlog.

Advice

Reconfirm flight status if booked to fly Air France Dec. 22-Jan. 2. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed.
