Pakistan: Increased security likely in Peshawar following attack on police compound Jan. 14

Authorities will likely increase security around Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, after armed assailants attacked the Sarband Police Station early Jan. 14. Reports indicate that at least six attackers used hand grenades and sniper rifles to assault the police station at around 01:00, killing at least three officers. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
