Germany: Activists to stage protest march in Berlin's Komponistenviertel April 13

Activists to march in Komponistenviertel, Berlin, Germany, 14:30-18:00 April 13. Heightened security, transport disruptions likely.

Warning

Activists plan to march in Berlin's Komponistenviertel (Composers' Quarter) on April 13. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce transphobia. Participants will gather at Antonplatz starting at 14:30 before marching to the intersection of Berliner Allee and Indira-Gandhi-Strasse beginning at 15:00. The event is slated to end at 18:00. It is unclear how many participants may attend.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely along the march route. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or frustrated motorists cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the march route. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
