Germany: Unionized public transport workers to strike in major cities across Baden-Wurttemberg April 18-19

Unionized public transport workers affiliated with the Ver.di labor union plan to strike across Baden-Wurttemberg April 18-19 over a pay and working conditions dispute. The work stoppage will specifically target local public transport companies in the cities of Baden-Baden, Esslingen, Freiburg, Heilbronn, Karlsruhe, Konstanz, and Stuttgart. Labor leaders expect the walkout will paralyze public transportation in all of the affected cities for the duration of the industrial action.
