Warning

Education workers from the National Union of Education Workers (Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educacion, SNTE)launched a protest march in Cuernavaca, Morelos State, on April 22. The action denounces perceived deficiencies in government-covered medical services. Participants initially gathered at Parroquia San Jose El Calvario before marching towards the Government Palace and the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado, ISSSTE).

Heightened security and traffic disruptions are likely along the march route during the demonstration. Clashes between activists and police cannot be ruled out.
