Sweden: Flood warnings in effect in southern regions March 20-24

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute issued several flood warnings in southern Sweden due to prolonged rainfall and the risk of overflowing rivers. Class-two warnings (second highest on a scale from one to three) are in effect in the Halland, Kronoberg, and Blekinge counties while additional class-one warnings remain in place in the surroundings southern counties. The warnings are expected to last until at least Tuesday, March 24.

Transportation disruptions, including road closures, power outages, and other associated disruptions are to be expected in affected areas in the coming days.
