On Sunday, April 12, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated at 9:15 (local time) as an Afghan National Police (ANP) vehicle passed by the area in Khair Khana, Police District 11, Kabul City. There have been no reported casualties, however, an ANP vehicle was damaged following the explosion.
A heightened security presence is to be expected in the area over the coming hours and days. Similar attacks are possible in Kabul province over the near term
