At least eight killed and dozens injured following rocket attack in Kabul on November 21; further attacks possible

At least eight people have been confirmed dead following several rocket attacks in Kabul in the early hours of Saturday, November 21. According to reports, at least 14 rockets were fired into central and north Kabul, including near the vicinity of the green zone, resulting in at least 31 injuries. Several buildings and infrastructure have also been damaged as a result of the attacks. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The Taliban has denied responsibility.

Further attacks are possible within the International Zone in the near term.

Those in Kabul are advised to remain vigilant for possible militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
