Lingering transport disruptions are likely near Lao Bao-Dansavan International Checkpoint in Savannakhet Province following a cargo vehicle fire, as of the afternoon of Dec. 3. The checkpoint connects Laos and Vietnam's Quang Tri Province. The blaze, which reportedly began at around 0800, killed at least two and injured six others. The cause of the blaze, which reportedly damaged vehicles nearby and a warehouse, is yet unclear. The incident site is around 195 km (121 miles) east of Savannakhet, Laos, and approximately 110 km (68 miles) west-northwest of Hue, Vietnam.
