Reports indicate an explosion occurred in the Salim Karwan area of Police District (PD) 12 in Kabul the morning of Jan. 27. The blast, which was reportedly due to an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting a police vehicle, killed two officers and wounded two others. No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
