Germany: Hospital workers currently demonstrating in Dusseldorf June 10

The Ver.di labor union is currently leading a demonstration of hospital workers through central Dusseldorf. The purpose of the action is to apply pressure during ongoing collective bargaining agreements with employers aimed at increasing financing for hospitals in the region. Participants are currently marching from the DGB building to the Hofgarten where a final rally is scheduled at 12:30; attendance is around 1,000 people.

Additional police are deployed to monitor and facilitate the demonstration.
