Transport union calls off Tyne and Wear metro January strikes December 28

The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has called off strike actions on the Tyne and Wear metro, initially scheduled from Monday, January 6, through Tuesday, January 7, following successful talks between the management and unionized workers. As such, normal operations are expected during the abovementioned dates, although disruptions cannot be ruled out.

Individuals are advised to monitor the situation, maintain flexible itineraries, and seek alternate modes of transportation if necessary.
