The Opposition for Serbia (SzS) plans protest in Belgrade on January 18; heightened security measures and transportation disruptions expected

The Opposition for Serbia (SzS) civil society group has called for a protest in Belgrade on Saturday, January 18, to commemorate Oliver Ivanovic, leader of the Serbian List for Kosovo and Metohija opposition party, murdered on January, 16, 2018. Participants plan to gather from 18:00 to 20:00 (local time) at the faculty of philosophy.

Heightened security measures and transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of the protest.

Individuals in Belgrade are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all protests due to the risk of violence, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
