France: SNCF delays and cancelations expected December 23 and 24

SNCF delays and cancelations expected amid ongoing strike December 23 and 24; confirm reservations

SNCF trains across France will operate at a decreased capacity on Monday, December 23, and Tuesday, December 24, due to an ongoing SNCF workers strike. According to officials, only 41 percent of TGV and Intercity trains will operate on Monday and Tuesday. Officials also expect similarly decreased operations from Friday, December 27 to Sunday, December 29.

Significant delays and cancelations are to be expected during the abovementioned periods.

Individuals in France are advised to monitor the situation, confirm transportation reservations, anticipate train delays and cancelations, and budget additional time for travel.
