US: Emergency crews respond to a fire that broke near the train system in Chicago on December 2

Emergency crews are responding to a fire that broke out within the Red Line of the Chicago Transit Authority train system in Chicago, evening Dec. 2. The fire and associated smoke have forced the suspension of the mass transport system between the stations of 47th and Fullerton, which encompass downtown Chicago. The fire broke out at 15th and Clark streets and has also affected power service in nearby areas.

Transport authorities have not provided an estimate of restoration of train service between the impacted stations, but shuttle buses are moving passengers between the affected areas.
