Civil and indigenous groups have scheduled gatherings in Santiago and Temuco for Friday, January 3, in commemoration of the death of a Mapuche man 12 years ago. In Temuco, participants are scheduled to gather at 16:00 (local time) for a concert at the Isla Cautin Amphitheatre. Participants in Santiago are scheduled to gather for a commemorative march at Cerro Huelen as of 18:00 and will later proceed to Plaza de la Dignidad at 19:00.
