A fire broke out at a chemical plant in the Daesan area of Seosan at approximately 03:00 (local time) on Wednesday, March 4. According to initial reports, a compressor at the plant exploded and caused the fire. The incident led to the injury of at least 31 people. Emergency personnel reportedly contained the fire by 05:15, however, the plant has been shut down as a precaution.

A heightened emergency service presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around the area of the incident.
