A vehicle-born improvised explosive device (VIBED) blast detonated in the vicinity of a police facility in Kandahar's Aino Mena area at approximately 10:00 (local time) on Wednesday, November 25. At least six police officers and 16 civilians have been injured by the explosion. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Localized disruptions are likely in the area in the near term. Those in Kandahar should be mindful of the possibility of further attacks.
