Mongolia: Road closures for Ulaanbaatar Marathon on May 20
Some road closures in effect from 08:00 to 18:00 (local time) in the capital on Saturday, May 20, for Ulaanbaatar Marathon

The Ulaanbaatar Marathon will take place on Saturday, May 20, and will coincide with Car-Free Day. A total of 30,000 people have registered to participate in the marathon. The opening ceremony will take place at 09:30 (local time) on Sukhbaatar Square (also referred to as Chinggis Square) before the marathon starts at 10:00, with a route stretching more than 42 km (26 mi) across the capital.
Roads spanning from Western Intersection to Eastern Intersection, including Baga Toiruu, Peace Avenue, Seoul Street, Beijing Street, Ankara Street, and Sambuu Street will be closed from 08:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, May 20.
Bus routes affected by the closures will be altered, with some routes taking detours and others temporarily suspended.
