United States: Airline terminal changes at Los Angeles Airport

More than 20 airlines to change terminals at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) May 12-16; associated disruptions expected

More than 20 airlines serving Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will change ticket counter locations, some changing terminals as well, between Friday, May 12, and Tuesday, May 16. During this period, long waiting times at check-in desks at the airport are likely and some services may be unavailable. Consequently, airport authorities have advised travelers to check in online and print out their boarding passes in advance, as well as to arrive at the airport earlier than normal. Staff will be present throughout the airport to assist affected travelers.

Affected airlines include Delta, Air Canada, American Airlines, JetBlue, Qatar, XL, and Virgin.

Context

The terminal changes are part of a major modernization scheme for the airport, expected to be completed by 2023.
