Officials at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila announced that all terminals are on lockdown at approximately 03:35 June 2 due to the ongoing security situation at the Resorts World Manila. Gunfire and explosions were reported at Resorts World Manila around 01:30. Witnesses said that at least one gunman opened fire on guests. The resort is popular among international tourists and features a number of hotels and bars, as well as a casino, shopping center, and cinema. MNL is located about 1.6 km (1 mi) from Resorts World Manila.
