At 00:25 (local time) on Sunday, June 4, government officials declared the security incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market are terrorist attacks. Police have confirmed at least one fatality and hospital officials said at least 20 other people were wounded. Officials announced that London Bridge will remain closed overnight. According to media sources, as many as three attackers were involved in the incident. Unconfirmed media reports claimed that two of the suspected attackers were shot and killed by police officers. Details are still emerging. Avoid the area.

Context

Authorities closed both sides of London Bridge on the night of June 3, after a van reportedly hit pedestrians. The Metropolitan Police also announced that officers are responding to an incident at Borough Market, located near London Bridge. The London Bridge station  and the Southwark Bridge have been closed.
