United States: Nationwide anti-Muslim protests June 10

Event

On Saturday, June 10, anti-Muslim protests organized by ACT for America will be held in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,  New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. The group, designated as a hate group by the Southern Law Poverty Center, called for a “March Against Shariah” to prevent Shariah law from replacing US law. Counter-protests and violent clashes are possible.

While demonstrations in other locations are possible, organized protests are confirmed for the following cities according to ACT for America:

Similar protests and counter-protests have turned violent in the past. In 2016, far-right and anti-fascist groups clashed at the state Capitol in Sacramento, California.
