Warning

Event

British Airways “mixed-fleet” cabin crews will stage a 14-day strike from July 19 through August 1. This will come on the heels of an ongoing and related 16-day strike, currently set to run through July 16. Flight delays and cancelations are to be anticipated throughout these two strikes.

Context

The mixed-fleet cabin crews, represented by the United Union, have been on strike since July 1 to campaign for better pay. Despite the strike, British Airways affirms it is currently operating the vast majority of scheduled flights, having leased planes and personnel from partner Qatar Airways.

Advice

Travelers are advised to confirm flight statuses prior to departure for the airport and to update their contact information (email and phone details) in British Airway’s Manage My Booking to ensure they receive notifications.
