United Kingdom: 24-hour London bus strike to be held Sept 22

The Unite union has announced that bus staff in London will hold a 24-hour strike on Friday, September 22, as part of its long-running call for a pay raise for staff employed by Transport for London (TfL).  According to union officials, the strike will begin at 00:01 (local time) on September 22 and end at 00:01 on September 23. The action will impact both day and night bus services.

Up to 400 members of the union, including bus station controllers, infrastructure controllers, revenue protection inspectors, and network traffic controllers will take part in the industrial action.
