Pakistan: Deadly TTP attack in Peshawar December 1 /update 1
At least nine killed and 37 injured in attack by TTP in Peshawar on December 1; avoid area of Peshawar Agricultural Training Institute

At least nine people were killed and 37 others injured in an attack carried out in Peshawar (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) on Friday, December 1. The attack, claimed by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), targeted the Peshawar Agricultural Training Institute. A large explosion was also heard in the complex. Three out of the four gunmen that launched the attack have been killed by security forces.
The casualty toll is expected to rise in the coming hours.
Context
Multiple terrorist organizations are present in the areas around Peshawar, including Al-Qai'da and Islamic State (IS) affiliates, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, and the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban, among other militant groups. Attacks are common - occurring on a weekly basis - in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
