Angola: Fire ignites in Boa Vista (Luanda) February 28

A fire ignited at the Schlumberger oil logistics center (SONILS) in the Boa Vista neighborhood of northwestern Luanda on Wednesday, February 28. The fire reportedly started at around 07:30 (local time); the blaze has since been brought under control, and an associated investigation has been launched to determine its cause. No associated casualties were immediately reported. Employees from BP and Total were reportedly evacuated from the area of the fire. Residual localized traffic disruptions are expected near the site of the fire in the coming hours.
