The UK Met Office has issued a yellow snow and ice warnings across much of the UK from Sunday, February 11 through Monday, February 12. Officials have forecast icy patches from 17:00 (local time) on Sunday as temperatures drop rapidly across the East, South West, Wales, Midlands, North West, London and the South East of England. Snow fall is also expected across much of Scotland, Wales and the North through Sunday night and into Sunday morning. Snow will be heaviest across western and northern Scotland, with predictions of up to 6-10 cm (2.4 -  to 4 in).

Icy conditions are expected to cause dangerous driving conditions, especially on untreated roads. Disruption to rail travel is also possible.
