Thousands of nurses call off their strike on April 21 to allow for negotiations with the government; medical services to resume April 23

Context

Some 15,000 nurses launched the strike on April 16 after the government failed to pay allowances promised since 2010. The group is also calling for better working conditions and more resources for hospitals.
