At least ten people died and many more remain unaccounted for following a landslide that struck in the early hours of Wednesday, July 12, breaking the banks of a natural dam in Panjshir province (northeast). The landslide destroyed the nearby village of Peshghor (Khenj district), damaging hundreds of homes.
