A bus reportedly hit a roadside bomb in Farah province, on the highway linking the city of Herat and Helmand province (southwest), on Tuesday, July 31. According to local police sources, at least seven people were killed and 27 other wounded, while an ambulance service spokesman stated that 11 people were killed and 31 wounded.

Context

According to the UN, more than 1000 civilians have been killed or wounded in Afghanistan by explosive devices since January 2018.
