Haiti: Phishing attack targets bank customers

The Digital Observatory in Haiti (ObNH) warns of a phishing attack targeting bank customers in which emails, appearing to come from banks, request individuals to enter their account information into a fraudulent website, made to look like the official bank site.  

Advice

Individuals in Haiti are advised to never send sensitive personal information via email, to verify email addresses before opening any links contained in an email, and ensure a website is secured before entering account information. Individuals who have received suspicious email are advised to contact their bank immediately.
