Tunisia: Unions call off August 29 general strike in Medenine governorate

According to union representatives, the strike was suspended to allow for negotiations with government officials. A renewed general strike remains possible in the coming weeks should negotiations break down. The dispute is over the government's alleged failure to implement development projects in the region.
