Event

Ground staff at Liverpool’s John Lennon International Airport (LPL) have threatened to carry out a series of strikes in the coming weeks to demand increased pay. The first strike is set to take place from 19:00 on Thursday, August 23, until 07:00 on Saturday, August 25 (local time). A second strike will be held on Monday, September 3, from 07:00 to 19:00. Further strikes could be called in the short term.

Flight delays and cancelations are possible, along with increased waiting times at check-in, baggage check/claim, and security checkpoints during and following the strike periods.

The August 23-25 strike coincides with a Bank Holiday weekend, traditionally a busy travel period.
