Emergency responders were able to rescue another nine people on Thursday night from the rubble and warned that another 64 people are still missing. However, local officials said that operations are being disrupted by continued rains and loose soil. Recovery efforts are ongoing as of the morning of Friday, September 21.

Dozens of homes were buried in the Barangay Tinaan and Sitio Sindulan areas of Naga on September 20 after heavy rains caused parted of a mountain to collapse.
