Orange weather alerts for snow and ice were issued on Sunday, October 28 for six departments in the Massif Central including Aveyron, Cantal, Loire, Haute-Loire, Lozère, and Puy-de-Dôme. Four departments in southeastern France, including Var, Alpes-Maritimes, Corse-du-Sud, and Haute-Corse were also placed under an orange alert for rain and localized flooding.
