Taliban militants killed 13 members of security forces and wounded over ten others in an attack on a security checkpoint in Khogyani district (Ghazni province) on Monday, November 5. The militants engaged the security forces in a three-hour battle before additional Afghan forces were deployed; the reinforcements also reportedly came under multiple Taliban ambushes. Similar Taliban attacks on security forces members and checkpoints are possible in Ghazni province over the near term.
