President announces end to five-day ATM outage November 21; maintain sufficient cash on hand

President Carlos Agostinho de Rosario announced that the country's five-day ATM outage had been resolved on Wednesday, November 21, and ATM service in Mozambique is once again available. The ATM malfunction began on Friday, November 16, and affected ATM service, domestic credit card payments, and electronic payment services across the country. International credit card payments and withdrawals remained unaffected. The cause of the malfunction, or how it was remedied, is not known at this time.
